These are the 10 most beautiful beaches on Ibiza
Booked a vacation to Ibiza? Then no doubt you've already seen many pictures of beautiful beaches and pretty coves. For years I have been coming to this wonderful island for business and pleasure. We do many photo shoots here and also regularly enjoy all those wonderful beaches and beautiful bays with friends and family. There are about 50 of them and we have seen them all so we can safely say what we think are the most beautiful and fun beaches of Ibiza. So there it is, the list of the top 10 beaches in Ibiza that we find the most beautiful, fun and cozy. If you're going for the first time, or have been more than once, but haven't seen everything yet, then these 10 beaches should definitely be on your Ibiza Bucket List! In Ibiza, Playa stands for a more expansive beach and Cala for small bay, handy to know if you're enjoying driving a car or scooter around the island.

1. Playa Ses Salines
This is always our big favorite! A lovely wide sandy beach with crystal clear water, a beautiful white sand beach and rugged rock formations. We regularly use Salinas Beach as a photo shoot location. At this beach you will find the beach clubs Malibu, the Jockey Club and Satrinxa, among others. At the beach clubs you can rent a lounger and get served, or you can choose to go old school and lie on a beach towel with your feet in the sand. At Salinas Beach there is a lot of fun, the beach clubs regularly have DJs spinning and there is a mixed crowd. It's great people-watching here. Nice are the promotion teams of the club nights that parade along the coastline. From them you can score a discounted ticket to the club. Cold drinks are not only served to you on beach club beds, but also reach your towel. From a cold serveza to freshly made mojitos and even a thick joint, everything is available here! ;-) We ourselves love coming to Beachclub Sa Trinxa for the nice casual atmosphere. Our No. 1 beach club in Ibiza!

2. Cala Bassa

Cala Bassa is a beach west of Ibiza. When you arrive, you are already enjoying an insane view. What makes this beach so beautiful is the white sand and the crystal clear water that turns turquoise. In the shade, under the pine trees you will find Beachclub CBbC and that stands for Calla Bassa Beach Club. You cannot avoid this club, as it is really scattered all over the bay. Great for a drink and the food is also very good, but a bit pricey. More info CBBC
Of course, you can make it as expensive in Ibiza as you want. Part of the beach has CBBC's sunbeds, but you can also, like many others do, choose to lie around them with a beach towel. There, too, they walk with coolers to provide you with a nice cold drink. At CBBC the DJ plays that true Ibiza sound of lounge and deephouse and all this together creates that wonderful atmosphere we all love so much.

3. Cala Tarida
Cala Tarida beach is one of our personal favorites. A fine sandy beach, actually fine for everyone! This bay is located in the west of Ibiza and is divided into 2 beaches. One a bit busier than the other. The water is clear and also shallow making it nice for children as well. Definitely worth taking your snorkel into the sea. There are nice rocks where you can jump off and there are several water sports. A bed with umbrella on this beach is still quite affordable and there is enough space to lie on the beach with a beach towel. Forgotten towel, no problem! You can buy them at the beach vendors. Sometimes a little irritating when you're just chilling and for the umpteenth time they ask if you want to buy an Ibiza towel...

4. Cala d'Hort
Cala d'Hort is located in the southwestern part of Ibiza. A sandy beach that overlooks the popular and mysterious rock Es Vedra, which lies just off the coast there. According to the hippies, this rock contains magical powers and is why they once settled on the island of Ibiza. Go explore for yourself and find out if they are right! You can go to the rock by boat. Taking a dip with a snorkel and looking into the depths can be very special. We saw a kind of magical light and countless fish. You can also snorkel beautifully in that magical light.

In the mornings it is often crowded with people who want to see Es vedra. Later in the afternoon the peace returns and it is really enjoyable.

5. Cala Vadella
Ideal for families with children is Cala Vadella. This child-friendly beach is located in the southwest of Ibiza and is very popular among the Dutch. The beach there is wide and the water shallow. In high season there is a jellyfish net in the water, so the kids can play in the water without being afraid of a jellyfish bite! For you too, it's nice to be able to swim your laps without worrying. When you arrive, it reminds you of the Caribbean. Azure water, pleasure boats and colorful houses. There is always a wonderful vibe in this bay! Nice restaurants where you can just sit at the table with your feet in the sand. Prices here are almost the same as in the Netherlands.

6. Cala Salada
Cala Salada is a beautiful bay in the west of Ibiza just behind the town of Sant Antonio. The bay has 2 beaches, one of which we always call the "secret" beach. This is Cala Salada. When you arrive at the beach and walk right up the rocks, after a walk of about 5-10 minutes you will reach a small beach, which you reach by a considerable staircase down. On to the beautiful clear water. Here you can snorkel well and dive off the rocks. The water here is so clear that you can easily see the fish swimming. You can also sit among the boat houses if the beach is too crowded. Usually there are locals selling empanades, bocadillos (Spanish sandwiches) and mojitos and you'll see fun fashion shows by girls selling cheap ibizastyle fashion. Nice for the Ibiza vibe! Target group here is quite young and you don't have sun beds here. From June you lie towel to to towel, but that makes it very cozy here!

Attention, this beach is unfortunately not very secret anymore in high season even the road is closed to this Cala. You will have to walk a long way down and yes, at the end of the day you will have to walk up again ;-)

7. Platges de Comte
For a beautiful sunset, head to Platges de Comte. This beach is located in the west of Ibiza. Is a nice and beautiful beach, but also very crowded. Make sure you are only here at the end of the afternoon so you can enjoy the setting sun. Put on your favorite outfit and you are guaranteed to take beautiful photos with a golden glow here!

Our tip is to go to Sunset Ashram. Sunset Ushram is not in our Beachclub Top 10, but it is definitely worth a visit. You might recognize it from the movie Love in Ibiza! A restaurant carved into the rocks in an orange/red color. You can also eat here, but find it quite expensive for what you get. The sushi is very good, but you can also just go for a drink. You have to make reservations in advance for dinner, but that is true for many restaurants in Ibiza during the busy months. The view is amazing and the sunset is really magical. There is usually a DJ playing.

8. Cala Bernirrás
A beautiful pebble beach in the north of the island. It is quite a trek by car or scooter to get down to this cove, but it is definitely worth it. Renting a bed with umbrella is very affordable here and with the pebbles is definitely recommended. In this Cala you will find 2 beach clubs, of which Beachclub Elements is a topper. A fine beach club in true Ibiza-style and accessible to everyone. The cocktails here are good and the music is nice and relaxed. On Sundays there is a small hippie market here with some nice clothing and jewelry stands.

This beach is best known for the popular Sundays, where the hippies drum and dance at sunset at night. The sunsets in Ibiza can be insane, and on Sundays, the hippies and, of course, you as a tourist celebrate together. Whipping music creates a nice atmosphere. It is also great fun for children and before you know it your children are standing with samba balls or a drum in their hands and your wife is dancing in the middle of the group. The latter is often the case with me, see photo ;-) Give yourself over to it and go for that real Ibiza feeling! Just get drinks at the beach clubs, or just bring a bottle of wine yourself!

9. Cala Jondal
Cala Jondal is certainly not the most beautiful beach in Ibiza, but it is certainly the most impressive bay on the island. With beach clubs like Tropicana, Jondal and the Blue Marlin, you can't ignore it and it should definitely be on your Ibiza bucket list. It's not really a beach where you go to lay down with your hands because of the pebbles, but here you can let yourself be pampered and pampered on your rented bed at one of the popular beach clubs. We definitely recommend a day at Tropicana, which is extremely popular among the Dutch. Enjoy a delicious lunch, drink a delicious cocktail, or dream away with a relaxing massage.

10. Playa d'En Bossa
I doubted for a long time whether this beach should be in the top 10, but because of all the famous beach clubs that are located on this beach I could not avoid it. Playa d'En Bossa with its strip and all the associated party people (read many drunken Englishmen), the Ushuaia, Hardrock Hotel and now the world's best Club Hi (formerly Club Space) is for many the place to be! If you like crowds and lots of fun you have to be here. The wide long sandy beach overlooking Formentera and to the left Ibiza town is the mecca for getting fat at beach clubs, such as Nassau Beach, partying at Tanit Beachclub and fine dining at Coco Beach.
