The spring sun caresses the hills, the almond trees bloom and the first beach clubs set out their sunbeds: the new season in Ibiza has begun. As the owner of Xplore Ibiza Magazine , this always feels like a fresh start - a chance to fall in love with the island all over again.
Last week I walked through my garden in the early morning, with a cup of coffee in my hand and only the sound of birds around me. That moment - the peace, the light, the promise of new beginnings - is exactly the atmosphere we want to capture in the very first edition of Xplore Ibiza Magazine.
And I am so proud to share: from April 8, the first edition will be in stores at ibizamode.nl! A dream come true.
In the magazine I take you to hidden coves, special boutiques, inspiring locals and the finest places to eat, dance, relax or just do nothing at all. It is an ode to the real Ibiza - raw, stylish, spiritual and full of contrasts.
Ibiza is alive, and you can already feel it. New hotspots are popping up, traditional fincas are getting a modern touch, and the fashion? Think: breezy kaftans, handmade jewelry, earth tones with a golden edge - just the way you'll find them at ibizamode.nl. The island inspires, year after year.
Ibiza welcomes several exciting new developments in hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues in 2025. Here are some highlights:
New Hotels:
Bonito Ibiza by O Beach: Located in San Antonio, this five-star hotel will open its doors in June 2025. It offers a beautiful outdoor pool, sauna and modern rooms and suites, some with sea views. The beach and downtown are within walking distance.
The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel: Formerly known as The Ushuaïa Tower, this hotel is undergoing a renovation and reopening under a new name, elevating luxury and exclusivity.
New Restaurants:
Es Fumeral: This restaurant in Cala Nova received its first Repsol Sun, a prestigious culinary award in Spain, in 2025. Es Fumeral is praised for its high-quality seafood.
Hells kitchen: This summer the first branch of Hell's Kitchen, chef Gordon Ramsay's restaurant chain, will open in the unexpected Ibiza hotel.
Nightlife venues:
UNVRS: Formerly known as Privilege, this iconic club will reopen in 2025 under the name UNVRS. It will be positioned as the world's first hyperclub, with a capacity of 10,000 people and cutting-edge technological and artistic experiences.
Elrow Residencies: Renowned party organizer Elrow has announced weekly residencies at UNVRS, with five changing themes that redefine the nightlife experience in Ibiza.
Other:
Parador Dalt Vila: In honor of Ibiza's 25th anniversary as a UNESCO World Heritage City, the Parador Dalt Vila will open in 2025, a luxury hotel housed in a historic building enriched with archaeological finds. You probably remember that iconic crane that stood on top of Dalt Vila for years. That one is finally gone!
